Away Program

The Charles City Family YMCA participates in the AWAY Program. AWAY means “Always Welcome at YMCAs.” The AWAY program is based on the philosophy that when a person enrolls in a YMCA, he or she becomes a member of a nationwide association of people that help build strong communities. Therefore, when away from home, on business or vacation, Y members will be warmly welcomed by all other participating YMCAs in the United States. Each YMCA has its own rules, regulations, and guest policies. If you are wondering if a YMCA you plan on visiting participates in the AWAY Program, stop by the Front Desk to get that YMCA’s contact information, or visit www.ymca.net and select “Find Your Y” or type in the zip code of your desired location. YMCA Members from other locations are welcomed at the Charles City Family YMCA 12 times per year at no cost!
