Group Instructor (Wellness/Fitness):

Instructs group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED, national certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification. Certification in areas of expertise. YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire. At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.

Y’s Guys Before And After School Day Care Assistant / Summer Day Camp Assistant:

The person selected for this position will be under the direct supervision of the Y’s Guys Program Director and will be responsible for providing an appropriately safe, caring and enriching environment for the children enrolled in the YMCA Before and After-School and Summer Day Camp programs. They will be responsible to defuse conflicts among children or staff then report to director. Responsible for conducting themselves in an appropriate manner, setting an example for children, parents and co-workers by reflecting the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Lifeguard:

Responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Certifications: ARC or YMCA Lifeguard Training, CPR Criteria for corresponding Lifeguard certification, and ARC First Aid or equivalent.

Front Desk Assistants:

Front Desk Assistants are responsible for managing all front desk operations. Duties include answering multi-line phone system, greeting members, answering questions and taking cash, check and credit card payments while providing exceptional customer service. Multi-tasking skills, basic computer skills, excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are required. Handles new memberships, registrations, and any payments for other programs, plus miscellaneous tasks.

Building Supervisors:

Building Supervisors are responsible for watching all areas of the YMCA. Constant roaming of the facility to assist members with questions, cleaning up spills, and monitoring children are the main duties. Other duties include: assisting the Front Desk Staff if needed, greeting members, and cleaning fitness and cardio equipment when time allows. All jobs must be done while displaying exceptional customer service. Multi-tasking skills, basic computer skills, excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are required.

Personal Trainers:

A minimum of 1 year experience is required; however, 3 years working as a trainer is desired. We are looking for individuals with a nationally recognized certification; however, preferable are ACSM, ACE and NETA. Health related degrees and athletic backgrounds are a plus. We like that you practice what you preach and will serve as a positive example and role model to our demanding clientele. If you do not meet these requirements but feel you have other strengths you bring to the table and/or will be willing to become certified in the above certifications please apply and some exceptions may be made.

Youth Sports Supervisors:

The person selected for this position will be under the direct supervision of the Program Director and will be responsible for providing an appropriately safe, caring and enriching environment for the children enrolled in the YMCA Youth Sports Programs. They will be responsible to defuse conflicts among children or staff then report to director. Responsible for conducting themselves in an appropriate manner, setting an example for children, parents and co-workers by reflecting the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. This person will lead and meet with High School Student assistants. A strong emphasis will be put on good sportsmanship and a positive learning environment.

Tumbling Instructor:

The tumbling instructor shall work closely with the Program Director and be responsible for instructing of (both on and off site) designated tumbling classes, and supervision of the facilities and participants to the highest and safest quality of YMCA standards. Personal qualities desired include good human relation skills to facilitate positive relationships with class participants, members, staff, and volunteers. Must be patient and understanding of all participants modeling the four character values and mission as integral to all programs and everyday functions. First Aid, CPR, and Child Abuse Training are required.
